چکیده
The human discomfort from combined noise and vibration has been investigated with a new perspective. concept in perturbation effect adopted to formulate novel predictive model of vibration. A psycho-physics experiment designed identify the which caused by stimulus. involved twelve (12) subjects. Each subject was imposed random order total 42 combinations seven (7) levels (X, 61, 71, 77, 84, 87, 89 dBA) where X is no stimulus, six (6) dose values (V1 = 0.2079, V2 0.3242 V3 0.6388 V4 0.8803 V5 1.4947 V6 1.8624 m/s1.75). Initially, would be reference combination assumed have value 100. assigned for chosen at sound exposure level, LAE 71 dB(A) value, VDV 0.2079 ms−1.75. Then other duration 5 s break between stimuli combination. After each vibration, required state form number relative asked seated relaxed position, holding handphone used it record all response after stimulation. finding suggested that can predicted equation ψv=170.6082avdv0.6662 overall given ψv−n=ψv+ψvε ε

Discomfort in Whole-body Vibration
A new methodology for objective evaluation of discomfort in whole-body vibration (WBV) is introduced in this work. The proposed objective discomfort characterizes discomfort based on the relative motion between adjacent segments of the human body from neutral positions. It peaks when the joints reach their limits. The objective discomfort has been tested on five subjects in the fore-aft directi...
متن کاملThe discomfort produced by noise and whole-body vertical vibration presented separately and in combination.
This study investigated the prediction of the discomfort caused by simultaneous noise and vibration from the discomfort caused by noise and the discomfort caused by vibration when they are presented separately. A total of 24 subjects used absolute magnitude estimation to report their discomfort caused by seven levels of noise (70-88 dBA SEL), 7 magnitudes of vibration (0.146-2.318 ms(- 1.75)) a...
متن کاملResponse of the seated human body to whole-body vertical vibration: discomfort caused by mechanical shocks.
The frequency dependence of discomfort caused by vertical mechanical shocks has been investigated with 20 seated males exposed to upward and downward shocks at 13 fundamental frequencies (1-16 Hz) and 18 magnitudes (±0.12 to ±8.3 ms-2). The rate of growth of discomfort with increasing shock magnitude depended on the fundamental frequency of the shocks, so the frequency dependence of equivalent ...
متن کاملThe influence of seat backrest angle on perceived discomfort during exposure to vertical whole-body vibration.
UNLABELLED National and International Standards (e.g. BS 6841 and ISO 2631-1) provide methodologies for the measurement and assessment of whole-body vibration in terms of comfort and health. The EU Physical Agents (Vibration) Directive (PAVD) provides criteria by which vibration magnitudes can be assessed. However, these standards only consider upright seated (90°) and recumbent (0°) backrest a...
